NBA 2K15 info and discussion

I really hope 2k gets bought up by EA, so we can actually....play the ****ing game that has to have internet connection with shitty servers.

I hope I can actually play the game on release day tomorrow night. I'll be playing only MyCAREER this weekend, so if the servers are constantly down, I'll probably go apeshit.

I haven't had any server issues yet, played it about about 3 hours last night and an hour or so this morning. Enjoying it so far. MUCH better than last years was on next gen. I'm not sure I like how they simplified the attributes in mycareer though and they seem to have removed the special attribute talent things like corner specialist/brick wall/floor general (I forget what they were called last year).

If you create a 2nd MYplayer you can skip the cutscenes. I found this out last night.

I had to create a SG(modeled after MJ) cause my 7'0 PF kept getting dunked on and out rebounded in the Park by SFs and guards. Probably just use him for the Jordan Rec now. PFs are so slow and sluggish too. I'm an overall 72 with my athleticism at like a level 7 and rebounding and defense around the same level.

I'm not sure that I like the new rating system so far.

Also I played the Allstar teamup last night and it was pretty fun. It was kinda weird at the same time though cause it feels like someone is pulling you player in the opposite direction when you move.

Defense is hard to play too. I like how you can pick Hall of famer all stars for each position but your backup is a scrub.

I had MJ for 2 games and went to work on Kobe. He got the best of me one game but we still won. You can get Techs if you call a timeout without anymore.

I'm pretty sure school is gonna go extra slow tomorrow too, and then I have basketball training in the evening, but then I have Friday night and the whole weekend to kick my feet up and play this game. 2K14 on PS4 was probably my least-played 2K ever, really disliked it, but my hype level for this game is nearly as high as it was for 2K11.

I tried a couple of face scans but it was admittedly dark in my study and dark outside and it wants natural light. It picked up some things ok, my nose, some of my hair, eyes all looked like mine but I must have moved my mouth too much while doing it because I had 2 mouths and the back of my head was bald. Could probably have fixed it with the editing suite if I got the mouth right. As it stands though the face editing from scratch and defaults seem like the only thing so far that is worse than last years, took me ages to make someone who didn't look totally retarded from scratch and he still isn't perfect. What they've done to the eyes is hard to get right.

Totally agree, I had 2k14 on xbox one and PC and I played the PC version more. This one seems greatly improved so far from my admittedly small sample size of around 10 games. Still has little bugs like doris interviewing the invisible man but I haven't had any gameplay bugs yet. I'm at work today but just want to go home and play!

Yup, I just completely missed the option to turn it on right before you pick your team. There are so many things to customize I somehow skipped over it a few times. Glad it's there though.

BTW, is there any way to turn the commentary off but still manage to hear the player interviews? I almost always play with no commentary so I can hear the crowd n shit more, but if I do then I cant hear the interviews...
