Re: So can we safely call Curry the 2nd best PG in the league now?
I would say that Curry is legitimately the second best PG in the league now.
I think Westbrook is a hell of a player and a great defender. However, even on his best day, he doesn't cause as much havoc on the court as Curry does.
Curry spaces out the floor like nothing I've ever seen before. They throw DOUBLES on him way out past the three point line. Curry on the fast break? You need to play him tight once he gets past the half court line or he'll just pull from 3. He's got to have an amazing percentage on fastbreak 3's because from the games I've seen, he hits those like layups.

WB is the most disrespect superstar now days. He's the second best in my opinion.

It's not disrespect, he's still third best.
Westbrook is a chucker when he shouldn't be. He has the best scorer in the league on his team and takes more shots than him. There is something fundamentally wrong with that. It's like it doesn't compute in his head that Durant takes less shots than him and scores significantly more points.
Westbrook scores points at a lower FG% and eFG% than the rest of the league. His TS% is the league average.
As for playmaking, Curry is the better playmaker of the two. Career numbers say otherwise, but Curry has always had a playmaking backcourt running mate. Monta, Jack, and now Iggy. You only need to watch the game.
The only two things Westbrook does better is rebound (but not by a significant margin, unlike his scoring compared to Curry's) and play defense. If we're honest though, no point guard in today's game can consistently shut down or even contain opponent PG's with the current rules.
Give me Curry all day.

Looking at this season only:
1) CP3- No explanation needed.
2) Curry- Raining Three's. Triple double last game.
3) Westbrook- Only played one game so far.
4) Rose- Still coming back from injury and getting back to old self.

Until Rose get his rhythm back, Curry at #2 sounds right.
Westbrook is hella streaky.

Yes, the 2nd half of last season he put up 25.9 points 7.3 asts per game. That's MVP Rose numbers.

Game. Set. Match.

Can you imagine if Curry had Durant? Holy shit that duo would be a nightmare to deal with. Especially because Curry is smart enough to defer to Durant.

No Way.
Cp3 Rose Westbrook Parker Deron Rondo and even Irving (off to a slow start I know, and perhaps I'm biased there) are all IMO equal or greater than Curry overall as a PG.
Curry is obviously an amazing player and one of the best shooters in the game, but that doesn't make him the best or second best PG.
It's also far too early in the season to make judgements.

Maybe a healthy Rose, but none of those players are better then Curry.

Ummm, no.
Stephen Curry has surpassed Parker. Parker gets to the line more often and plays better defense, otherwise, Curry is better in every other aspect of the game.
Deron is a shell of his former self.
Rondo is up in the air, who knows how strong he'll come back.
Irving makes Stephen Curry look like a DPOY candidate, and Curry is still better in just about every other aspect of the game.
Westbrook is arguable, but it remains to be seen how well he'll play in the long run coming back from his injury.
CP3 is currently the only PG better than Curry.
