Are looking at the Durant of the DPotY awards?

If he keeps playing like this, he may leapfrog everyone in the NBA and settle in as the 3rd best player in the league by the end of his 2nd season. That's may be pushing it, but him being something like 5th behind LeBron, Durant, CP3, and maybe George or Love or Westbrook (if Westbrook gets completely back to form), doesn't seem too far-fetched right now. A high-efficiency 20 and 10 PF who also provides excellent defense?

It's certainly looking like he's going to live up to the hype.

Looks like he's going to miss another triple double in blocks barely like the Philly blowout but god damn is he fun to watch. I just hope we can retain him in the future.

He's going to jump Durant in 1-2 seasons and then LeBron when he starts to decline.

No variation of Westbrook is touching 20/11 with 3 blocks and 2 steals

I'd take him over everyone not named LeBron, Durant and Chris Paul.

Could be. I don't know if he'll win it this year. May be hard to get the recognition and whatnot to beat someone like Hibbert this year if he and the Pacers keep playing like this, but Davis is only in his second year. Durant started winning scoring titles his 3rd season and Davis is already a legit DPOY candidate in his 2nd.

But this would be bigger, in my opinion. DPOYs are more prestigious to me. Don't know how everyone else feels, so it may just be me. Granted, if you've got someone like Durant winning scoring titles averaging 28-30 PPG on historically great efficiency for a wing, then the scoring titles hold a little more weight in my eyes, too.

Yeah, I was really stretching it with Westbrook and probably Love, too. A 20+ and 10+ DPOY caliber big is more valuable than a 20-7-5 low-efficiency guard. I know Westbrook's numbers go way beyond the boxscore, but you still got to go with the big.

spent a lot of tonight out on the perimeter on Hayward too. Must have altered 6-10 shot easily.

Ehh...Durant's playing at an insanely high level right now and he's only 25 years old. I mean if last year was his peak season, it'd have an argument for one of the 20 best single/peak seasons ever...and he's likely to keep steadily improving the next 3-5 years. Davis could get close, and I'm not saying him jumping Durant is completely out of the question, but Davis is going to have to be really, really damn good within the next few years.
