NBA TV's Hardwood Classics
Thought a thread may be helpful for those interested in classic games on NBA TV. A 1988 Bulls/Lakers showdown is on right now (MJ scores 42 points).
At midnight tonight, a 76ers/Cavaliers game from 1997 is showing. Iverson dropped 50 in that one during his rookie year.
Tomorrow at 11 is the famous Bulls/Cavs game from 1989.
Then at 1, Allen Iverson's 2001 Philly/LAL NBA Finals performance gets a showing.
Just a head's up for you guys.

2001 Finals, but I'm sure you knew that
I also have that Bulls/Lakers 1988 game on tape (actually from the '89 season). MJ brought all the highlights in this one:

I'm kind of intrigued by the '97 Sixers game tonight. I'm used to seeing a lot of classic Bulls, Celtics, and Lakers playoff games on NBA TV but regular season runs from the mid-90's are sometimes a little tougher to come by.

People often forget how close Ehlo was to becoming a hero in that game. He was playing injured, he scored like 12+ in the 4th, hit clutch 3 after clutch 3, I think he scored around the last 8 for Cleveland, including the potential game winner before Jordan's "the shot".
But then Jordan hits the shot and Ehlo's entire career gets defined in that one moment.

Jordan and Magic were very impressive, however Jordan was getting Durant-level calls this game.

One thing that's funny about "the shot." After MJ hits it and is celebrating, there's one Cavs in the left hand corner of the screen (wearing red shirt) waving his arms as if hoping the refs would wave the shot off cause MJ didn't get it off in time.

NBA TV's Classic Quarters show is a pretty cool concept. I hadn't seen it before. Reggie's 25 point fourth against New York is forthcoming.

I am looking forward to 4pm and the Hawks/Knicks game where Nique dropped 54 in a losing effort.

Re: NBA TV's Hardwood Classics
They've played 3 Lakers/Kings games from 2001 and 2002 this week. They also played 2002 Kings/Mavs.
As a result I had a dream last night where I played 2-on-2 with Chris Webber and then he was eating cookies in my aunt's house talking to me about what we need to do to win our next 2-on-2 game.
