I don't think so. That's another 6 seasons of 2,000+ points a year if he's healthy, taking him to 37. I don't expect Lebron's scoring to remain in the mid 20's by the time he's 34-35. I expect him to take on more of a facilitating role, maybe even a move to power forward( still playing a point forward role). Bear in mind that Lebron was playing major minutes since 19, made the playoffs in all but his first 2 years, never failed to advance past the first round, and been in the last 5 finals. Then add two Olympics on top of that....he's played ALOT of basketball.

    Dumb statement

You can't say anyones on lock for anything career-wise. Something can happen at any minute and cost them their career.

He said "almost a lock" for a reason. Barring some catastrophic injury or worse, he'll be top 5. He only needs <6000 and he's only just turned 31. It really is phenomenal how durable and consistent he's been.

Are you hoping he gets an injury?

Even if he falls short of the all time mark or if he doesn't care to play enough to break it, there's a really good chance that Lebron will surpass Kobe on the all time scoring list (and this will being a pass first guy and taking hundreds of less shots than Kobe). So why would Kobe stans be happy?

    5400 pts...

Following that he'll be 35 years old and in his 17th season... and he'll still need 6000 points.

Lets say he keeps going though and from 35-37 (17th-19th seasons) he averages 23-ppg and plays an average of 65 games.
He'd still be able 1500-2000 points shy of the total.

Maybe he ages better then the above speculation and maintains his volume better but if not... then there is little chance.
The question to me is if he'll plays into his 40's.

But the real point is lebron's strength was never his scoring.

Thanks man, seems like people struggle to read on this board.
