Cp3 will ALWAYS be the best stats point guard simply because of how he plays the game. He controls the game and does it at an elite level. However, it is extremely hard to win with a super small pass first point guard in the playoffs. If they run through Blake they had a much better chance.

It is just how basketball is designed. When Cp3 dribbles around like crazy that means 4 people are standing around. In the regular season it works great because of his superior skill and the lack of planning and prep made. However, in the playoffs teams have time (and more importantly motivation) to prepare specific schemes to minimize his impact. This doesn't mean he doesn't put up beastly stats, but just that it may not result in W's.

It is the reason he is significantly more in effective in the playoffs as compared to a wing scorer like a Kobe Bryant. In the playoffs a midrange shooting guard, or a dominating big man is always a much better way to run the offense through. When the game slows down having a wing scorer to go through to run an offense or a big man to use as a pivot/scorer/foul creater helps a lot more. The only exception is Lebron who is so huge that he bypasses normal logic.

With CP3 all teams need to do in the playoffs is put a big physical defender on him (such as Tony Allen), rough him up a little, and then start throwing double teams at him like crazy. The team around him is not used to having to do stuff since all regular season they just stood around and their offense suffers. When you have to change your style of play completely in the playoffs as compared to regular season it messes with a team. It's why Spurs, Lakers, and Celtics won so much (and to a degree the Heat). They played the same way in the playoffs and reg season.

Steph Curry is better in the sense that he can be a flat out scorer. However, he also does not have the true mentality of being that aggressor. If he had to do that the Dubs would never be true contenders. If Klay truly is what he's shown the past few games then the Warriors just took a huge leap forward. They have a go to wing player that can create offense in a playoff type way (midrange/get to the rim etc). Why Harden sucks..in the playoffs you can game plan against a trey + driver. He needs to work on playoff offense or learn how to pass the ball and move.
