Most on ISH think so but I think Malone was better. Better longevity at the top, better scorer, better defender. Barkley was a better rebounder and passer. I think people worship Barkley because of his unique skillset and how entertaining he was compared to Malone.

Barkley was had better post moves,better offensive rebounding,ball handling, more range and clutch. He was also more agressive on offense.

Malone was better post defender, athlete, hard worker and he better midrange shooting probably.

Peak Malone was not a better athlete than Sir Charles. The speed, leaping, and arguably the strength advantage goes to Chuck. Barkley had no regard for human life on the break. He was every bit the terror of prime Shawn Kemp and Antonio McDyess in that regard.

I agree Barkley was the better athlete. I meant jumper as in jumpshot if you're talking to me. Malone was the superior defender and shooter and it's not close. Barkley is the better rebounder, passer. Pros and cons to both. Peak it's Barkley, overall all time rank it's Malone.

And I would take Malone as the best all-time, even over Duncan.
