Or this EYE-WITNESS account in an interview in the 90's, and when Chamberlain was 59 years old?

In Robert Cherry's book on Chamberlain, how about this? [Page 375] "One such buddy was Fluke Fluker, whom Wilt had first met when both worked out at the Mid-Valley Racquetball Club in the early nineties. "The first thing people saw about Wilt and me is that we're big, we're black, and we're athletic. And they end their definition there." Fluker said. "It may have been one of the things that brought us together. We both hated the image of the dumb, black athlete." Fluker, a 6'5" and about 250 lbs, claims that he can bench press 500 lbs. Even he was amassed at Wilt's strength. "The man could curl a 100 lb. dumbbell as easy as I can lift a telephone receiver."

    How about this...

Go ahead and just GOOGLE Wilt's bench press, and get back to me. The internet is PLASTERED with articles claiming Wilt had a 500+ lb. bench press. And, BTW, find me ONE LEGITIMATE FIRST HAND account that DISPUTES those.
Find me ONE LEGITIMATE PICTURE OR VIDEO that PROVES this. Sorry, any article where the author spells "amazed" as "amassed" doesn't impress me.

Again, you obviously don't lift weights, otherwise you would realize how ridiculous that claim is. 500lbs is an absolutely monster bench press. I compete in bodybuilding and have lifted for 7+ years in many different gyms. I have never seen anybody bench even close to 500lbs. I watched the OU football team lift daily for 2 semesters. None of them could bench 500, and only the biggest, heaviest linemen would even try 405.

    EDIT:

Also, do you realize the WORLD RECORD bench press in 1959 was 565 lbs. Do you honestly think Wilt Chamberlain was among the worlds strongest men?

Most certainly YES. Watch the YouTube footage of a Cosell interview with Ali and Chamberlain. In it he states that Wilt might be the strongest man in the world.

BTW, the entire Steeler offensive line reportedly was benching 500+ lbs in the early 70's (albeit it was obviously steroid-aided.)

Shaq is pretty easily the strongest NBA player ever IMO. Who else brought the whole basket down the way he did? It's one thing to shatter the glass, but Shaq ****ing ripped the whole thing out of the foundation! IIRC the NBA strengthened the hoops after Shaq did it a few times.

That's more a matter of weight+strength than just pure strength.
