Bird is nowhere near LeBron. His advanced stats suck compared to LeBron's and he's a much worse defensive player. It's like saying peak Kobe is better than peak Shaq or peak Jordan. Just ridiculous.

Kblaze really could have dropped some knowledge in this thread but he let his personal hatred get in the way...in short, Bird would be the best player in the NBA today if he was in his prime.

This. When we look back in 20 years, are we going to remember the insignificant outcomes of some finals series or are we going to remember the incredibly dominant advanced stats?

Let's see here....we have guys like Hornacek and Majerle starting as SG's in the 90's. No surprise that Bird can do that.
