the term "hero ball" has been thrown around here for a pretty long time. i'd even date it back to around ezboard days.

sometimes, we read stuff over and over and probably forget but then over time, we suddenly bring it up and think the idea was ours when, in fact, that original thought was probably "inceptionalized" in us long ago without our realization.

i lost count of how many times i've experience that here this with other posters. i would be talking to them about something, and then a month or two later, they'd bring that same idea up and throw it back at me when i was the one who told them that.

that happens often in real life too, especially girlfriends/partners. and that's probably a good thing because it means they're listening.
