As you read this
Curry's MCL is healing
The only difference between the 2015 and 2016 playoffs were that Steph Curry suffered a major MCL injury during the 2016 playoffs. Curry was forced to return earlier than the 3 week healing timetable and re-aggravated the MCL injury while setting an NBA OT scoring record performance and was unable to create the separation he usually is able to for the rest of the playoff.
Next year Curry will not have a freak MCL injury and we will see the same MVP Steph Curry that we have for the past two seasons
It is quite possible that Curry could get his 3rd straight MVP this next year

100% Curry last year versus >80% Kyrie with the game on the line....
The playoffs are just a different kind of game. I wouldn't doubt Curry being great again in the regular season. But, he simply hasn't been able to reproduce his regular season play into dominant playoff runs.
The best players turn their game up a notch. You should just be hoping he can somehow sustain it at this point.

so one chase down block.. on one play.. nullifies every other piece of evidence?
Curry has definitely sturggled with physicality in the playoffs, but lets pump the breaks. He hasnt had any Lebron James by his side, and thats a huge thing.
Every player steph has had to lean on has either disappeared in the Finals *i'm looking at you klay*, or been suspended himself in key moments due to too much aggression.. either way it's not fair to compare a first option with less help to a second option with more help.

28/5/6 in the playoffs last year, 26/5/6 in the Finals and led the team in scoring in every win.
Steph not winning the FMVP really ruined the perception of his very good playoffs run last year. I didn't think you'd fall for it too.
