It was more like early 90s ball than 80s. But you can clearly tell the Heat do not like the physical play at all. As good as they are, it's also very easy to get in their heads.

How is it easy to get in their heads? 27 straight wins and its easy to get in their heads?

Heat tried to play the physical brand of ball back, and it resulted in a Lebron flagrant, a Battier off the ball rebounding foul, etc. What part am I missing here?
We tried to play the brand of ball back, but it was officiated to be too rough when we did it.

Simple. No one attempted the physical play the Bulls did. And LeBron's whining shows it's not difficult at all to get in his head. 1 loss and he's whining about people flagrantly fouling him and not getting calls.

I liked it...play hard with hard fouls. Not dirty fouls...just hard.

Do not let anyone just come down the lane easily. Make them think twice about it.

Refs were doing their job - better than they've ever done since the 80's. Actually letting ALL the players play the game for once and not just focused on "protecting" the stars. 'bout damn time these refs stop treating the stars like Golden boys on every 50/50 play and exaggeration of contact. I the refs for allowing the game of basketball to be played the way it was meant to be played in last nights Bulls game

Playoff intensity game, and the refs let them play like men. The only problem is, the Bulls were the only ones to oblige the refs. The Heat wanted it to stay "***** ball".

This post is just a giant contradication of itself.

You even said its one game... Then you go on to try and be insightful and overanalyze the game... Its one game.

Not to mention 32/7/3 on 65% shooting isn't getting in a players head.

This winning streak really must have pissed off a lot of people. So much celebration and rejoicing right afterwards. Not to mention the first time in a while Miami lose and you have these new found, so called basketball purists coming out and saying "this is the way ball should be played". Even funnier is its mainly coming from Lakers and Knicks fans who have been screaming for more protection for Melo and Kobe this season.

There's no contradiction at all. 1 loss and LeBron is already whining. That clearly shows pushing him around is getting in his head.
