Default Re: Heat reassigns longtime assistants McAdoo, Rothstein

The Miami Heat on Thursday clarified the restructuring of their coaching staff with the announcement of new roles for former assistant coaches Ron Rothstein and Bob McAdoo.

Rothstein, who previously had served as the franchise's initial coach and coach of the team's WNBA franchise, will work on the team's broadcast team, as well as in corportate affairs.

McAdoo, who had been on the bench since Pat Riley took over as coach and team president in 1995, will move into the scouting and community-relations position previously held by former Heat guard Tim Hardaway, who has moved on to the Detroit Pistons coaching staff of former Heat coach Stan Van Gundy.
