Magic Johnson.
Oscar only averaged around a 30 point triple double his first seven or so years in the league, and won an MVP when Russell and Wilt were in their athletic primes. Just didn't have Kareem to play with until he was older.

Consistently check pgs on defense.

Curry is on pace to be second to Magic, at worst

So... what is your current top 10 PGs?

Re: What More Does Steph Curry Need to Do To Be A Top Ten All Time PG?
Peak or best player wise, I think u could rank Steph as high as number three. Just behind Magic and Big O. GOAT wise, he doesn't have the OVERALL RESUME to be a top 10 GOAT PG yet. BUT he's on pace to become a top 10 GOAT PG quicker than ANYBODY!! He ALREADY has the ring and regular season MVP on his resume. Only other PG's to have BOTH are Magic, Big O, and Cousy.
Even if he NEVER won another MVP or ring, Steph could become a top three GOAT PG. All he has to do is stay healthy and keep putting the numbers.

Agreed.
I was just trying to say how rare it is to win MVP and the chip in the same season. Not trying to say that Steph will be better than Oscar (unless he goes on an insane run).

Draymond has taken his game to another level no doubt. But last season Draymond wasn't playing nearly as well as he is now. Warriors were still a contender and Steph was the MVP. As much as the Warriors are a great team with great players, and valuable players like Dray, the team begins and ends with Steph.

if he wins MVP and FMVP this year he is a lock for top 3.

Be the best player on his team when it matters.

He's having a ridiculous season but we need to see 4 more years of dominance to be top 10 all time.
He can safely say he's first ballot hall of famer.

Nash has 2 MVPs. He's the GOAT PG
ISH logic woes.
Please by all means stop. Only 2 all nba teams? Tony Parker has 4 all nba team selections, 4 rings and a Finals MVP (something Curry doesnt have with his ring, lost it to a 6th man and was 3rd in finals mvp voting). So it only took Curry 1 season and 1/2 to be a top 10 PG of all time. Simply amazing (sarcasm)
Go on.

clearly have him beat at this point.
Nash, Frazier, Kidd, Paul are all arguable if you factor in their total careers vs Curry's still relatively early career.
If Curry keeps up the insanity he is capable of on the court for a nice long career then there's no reason he can't surpass everyone but Magic.
He needs another ring or two for sure, and MVP or FMVP accolades would help his case greatly as well.
I would rank as following: Magic, Isiah, Stockton, Curry, Cousy, Kidd, Frazier, Paul, Nash.
