NYC definitely has cool aspects, it's public transport is the best in the country, but imo it's overrated. Ridiculously overpriced, overcrowded, and the weather sucks half the year

But if you're an NBA star, does it really matter, since you can jump on a plane and be anywhere, own second homes in Florida, LA, the Bahamas, etc?

It's the biggest market, the Knicks have been so bad recently that winning a title there is an even bigger deal than winning in Cleveland, and so on.

If KD or Kyrie go to LA, they're second fiddle to Lebron, in a town that expects to win, so all that pressure unlike NY fans who will just be relevant at this point.
