Trevor Booker signed up. Don't know details of the deal yet. Adds a nice bench option for the team.

EDIT: 2 years/$10 million. Not bad, won't hurt any future signings at all and could be used in a trade fairly easily if the need arises.

Seems like a lot for him. Mid level. So Jeremy going to play some 3? Kanter on his way out? Gobert to the D League? Novak on the bench?

He 105 has starts in 4 years. Think of the Jazz front line as two centers Favors and Gobert with Kanter as the power forward. With the additions of Trevor Booker and Steve Novak the Jazz now have options on how they want to play when they go to the bench at the power forward .

Moreover, if Kanter misses any games Booker is capable of stepping into the starting lineup, whereas that is not something you want to do with Steve Novak.

Booker is physically strong. He is a decent rebounder grabbing a 17.7% defensive rebounding percentage last season. His defensive rating over the last three years has been 104,102 and 104. The Wizards were far more successful defensively when he was coupled with Gortat than with Sheraphin or Nene. Likely, because Booker is not particularly mobile and athletic so he is better with the bigger more athletic big.
Gortat is more athletic than Nene?

[QUOTE]Offensively, he is a bruiser who has developed a bit of a mid range game. Last year he shot 46% from 10 to 16 feet a huge improvement in his game and well above the league average. In his Career he shoots 36% from 16+ feet which is right about league average

Booker closed the year very well last year. He started 26 of 30 games post all

[QUOTE]Rodney Hood does not struggle with the additional NBA length. Shoots easy and smooth. Effortless.

When Gordon Hayward entered the league, he told me that the extra 3-point distance was brutal. He said he felt like he was "throwing the ball at the hoop." Hood does not struggle with the extra three feet. His shot flows as smoothly Mrs. Butterworth does over hot waffles. Watching Hood shoot is as effortless and relaxing as a massage.

Hood is a really good and unselfish passer.

Most shooters seem allergic to the pass

Burke is also being counted on to help tutor Dante Exum.
I think he might have more to learn from Alec and G.

[QUOTE]Rudy Gobert was simply fantastic tonight, especially in the first half. In that half, he was easily the most impactful player on the floor: scoring 11 points on 5-5 shooting, garnering 5 rebounds, and rejecting 4 shots in just 11:30 of play. 1 Even better, it came against NBA grade competition: this Bucks team features legitimate NBA players in Jabari Parker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Nate Wolters.

So is this a new and improved Rudy Gobert? Quin Snyder thinks so. When asked if there

Seems like the standard in the new CBA and these 2 year deals. A guy you might get for $3-$4 million that you'd sign for 3-4 years will now cost you $4-$5 million if you only want him for 2. I'd think in most cases (unless you're right up at the tax level) the extra few million for the shorter contract isn't an issue.

The biggest problem is they have to play him regardless if Jeremy and Gobert deserve time or not.
