What would you consider the Golden State situation? For me I just can't possibly call KD or Curry a 2nd option. I still see them both as 1st options even though they're on the same team since they're both the go-to scorers and get similar amount of touches and shots.

    Career PPG Playoffs

    Jordan...... 33.5

    Iverson..... 29.7
    West......... 29.1
    Lebron...... 28.9
    Durant...... 28.8
    Barry......... 27.3
    Elgin......... 27.0
    Gervin...... 26.5
    Curry........ 26.0
    Hakeem... 25.9

Notice how the gap between #1 and #2 is bigger than the gap between #2 and #10... MJ was an EXCEPTION as a scorer - he stands alone.

But the thing that really demonstrates how goat his scoring skill was is that he fit goat scoring into a system and didn't dominate the ball.. .. ..

Context and player fit matters. Pippen is a much better second option for Jordan, while Kyrie is a much better second option for LeBron. If you swapped them, both teams definitely get worse
Pippen made MJ score goat amounts (see previous post)

That's isn't an optimally built team - it's never optimal to have 1 guy score much more than everyone in history

Otoh, Kyrie would take the load off so MJ could focus on other areas and the team could have better balance - Jordan's 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2.5 steals would increase even more
    .
So instead of 33.5/6/6 averages, it would be about 30/8/8 and the team would have even stronger teamwork... And absolutely deadly in the clutch - pick your poison - teams would fear the bulls more

3ball after all of the evidence you've provided I'm considering bumping scottie up all-time into the top 20 or 30...

    Better than 89' Pippen easily

    And that's an obvious fact

89' pippen sucked and averaged 14/6/3, and alot worse in playoffs (9 on 40% in ecf)

I went to every Bulls game in 89. This is false. Were you even born in 89?

Don't try and run now...Focus. You're jumping around, fizzling out, so I'll simplify it for you.

Post the best #2 options 3-year FINALS stats.

You made a poor attempt by posting Wade and used 2011, which does not fit the criteria because Wade was clearly the #1 option. This means the stats are inflated because you used 2011, 2012, 2013 when it should've been 2012, 2013, 2014 but the best part is even in doing so, even by cheating and using 2011 you still proved Pippen was better.

    "Wade averaged 24/6/5 in the 11-13 Finals." - 3ball

    But...Pippen was still better

Pippen averaged 21/9/7/2/1 on 46% and better than MJ defense. Or is MJ not a good DPOY defender anymore?

    Tick-tock...
