Kawhi should avoid the toxic environment of LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers

This is coming from a Lakers fan, Kawhi and his uncle Dennis need to realize that there was a reason Magic abruptly resigned from the Lakers organization. Pelinka and Buss were throwing him under the bus in emails. Magic called Pelinka a backstabber. Pelinka has been caught lying to other NBA players in front of their face. Buss is running all her decisions through Linda. There's no structure in LA. LeBron and Rich Paul manipulate every team they're on to make sure they rip away all their assets long before they're gone. Durant has been quoted not wanting to play with LeBron because everywhere he goes, he leads a toxic environment.

Plus LeBron is a known snake. He says he'll tailor to your needs now. But once the season starts and he's not getting his stats, he tells Kevin Love to fit in instead of fitting out. Once Wade leads the team to a 2-1 NBA finals lead, LeBron will sabotage the team because he can't phantom a teammate winning finals MVP over him. Dude is a fraud and coward and is just trying to use other superstars to add more rings to his resume. Once Kawhi or Davis gets injured or shows any threat of being the lead, LeBron will manipulate the front office into trading one of them ala the failed Kyrie for Paul George trade.

Kawhi should avoid the toxic environment of the Los Angeles Lakers for the next three years. Wait for LeBron to be gone, for Rich Paul to be gone and for new management to step in before thinking about coming home to LA. Go where people know exactly who you are, what you can do and most of all support you in your desire to do it. Lead a team who wants you to lead them in Toronto, not a team who pretends they want you to lead them anywhere.

Well written. Hopefully Kawhi chooses the Toronto Raptors over the Lakers for the sake of parity in the NBA. We're all getting so sick of seeing superteams. LeBron literally has no shame in his name recruiting all of these top 5 players. It's just...anti-competitive. You would think the man would want to earn his rings for once.

It's not toxic anymore. They have a top 5 player in AD now. Might as well cancel the season. This is about as much overkill (if not more) than KD + Warriors in 2017. It'll be a snooze fest for all NBA fans (other than Laker fans).

It still is. Pelinka is still there. Jeannie is still there. LeBron and Rich Paul are still there. The Lakers are a prime example of a toxic environment. After the fiasco Kawhi went through in San Antonio, he'd be wise to avoid the Lakers.

real talk OP. you hit the nail on the head.

kawhi already won in the west and won in the east. now he should go to the knicks the worst franchise in pro sports and prove that he could win on any team in any era ever including the distant future when cybernetics have caught up to kawhi.

winning with the knicks would instantly make him the undisputed unanimous GOAT, and is really the only way to go.
