Easy to say that in hindsight. Lakers had the meeting first and it probably went really well, someone leaked it out to the media and that probably played a part in Kawhi not signing with us.

I'm not saying he's nice, but someone in our organization jumped the gun when the leaks initially came out. Would we have waited until the announcement if the meeting didn't go well?

Either way it doesn't matter, we didn't make any dumb long-term signings in this FA so I'm happy about that, we'll have space to build around AD in 2021 FA.
