Default Kawhi missed 22 games last yr. How many wins do LAC win if that happens? LAC future?

    Load management...

The Raptors still managed to win 58 games overall despite load management because they were arguably the deepest team in the league last year despite not having a second stud with Kawhi.

The Clippers were a 48 win team last year that probably overachieved because Doc has always done best with fringe talent that buy in to hustling their asses off. Don't @ me about the Celtics big 4, they only won one... underachieved... easily.

Anyone see the Clippers being a 60 win team with Kawhi sitting out 20+ games? I very much doubt that, tbh. 50-55 games won seems more reasonable, if he sits 20.

As far as the future goes...

People are shit talking the AD trade for the Lakers giving up "their future" but let me tell you what, if anything goes wrong with the Clippers, they have absolutely gutted their team for at least a decade. They coughed up essentially 7 first round picks. Holy shit.

It's probably still worth the risk, given how long they've sucked, I suppose, but DAMN. But Ballmer has been committed to winning from the beginning, so long as he plans on being around maybe this was a mistake, maybe not, you know? Hard to tell for sure.

Gallinari is not some stud, but he's definitely underrated as an individual, particularly on defense. Again, not that he's some defensive stud, he isn't, but he's definitely above average. I don't know enough about SGA to comment on him.

7 first round picks, Gallinari and SGA? I dunno... flip a coin. You could convince me either way, but I do know if history doesn't play out in their favor this has the potential to be the worst trade we've ever seen.

The one thing I do know... if the Clippers stay healthy, their perimeter defense is going to be absolutely suffocating. I'm scared for perimeter players playing against them this year, lol.

Who cares how many regular season games they win? Trying too hard to find fault.

You said it yourself, they've got the best perimeter defense.
Once they're in the playoffs they'll smother every other team.

They're gonna make LeBron look old as fvck should they match up.
