Didn't Breen say that Battier was close to signing with the Thunder but the Thunder didn't want to offer multiyear? Now look, who knows if Battier was on Thunder it might be 2-2 or even 3-1 in Thunder's favour.

battiers shitty bank shot three won game three for them.

i was soo pissed.

also i hate battier, he always initiates contact and when a player finally gets pissed off and pushes him, battier gives his retarded goofy (the disney character) look like "gorsh ref, did see what he just did to me!"

He's one of two reasons I'd be okay with the Heat winning (the other being Juwan Howard). Battier has been fantastic for Miami this year. About 7 months ago I wasn't even sure he was going to continue playing. He was a free agent during the lockout, getting older, etc. He worked my brother's basketball camp in Ann Arbor during the lockout and I'm not even sure most of the kids knew or cared who he was. It'll probably be a little bit of different story after these finals, as his popularity has seen a little bit of a renaissance.

lets be honest, he was sort of big in the indiana series keeping david west in check but other than the finals, he shot like shit. he was only there because he played better defense and had a 'reputable' 3pt shot for a 'big' over anthony, turiaf even pittman.

finally he's making 3s in the finals and its only salvaged his playoffs not make him any better in reputation.

Playing this good on the grandest stage late in his career absolutely can add brownie points to his reputation. It shows that he really wants to win, it isn't blind luck to make 12 of 19 from 3 point range over the course of 4 games in the finals. He's changed gears on the biggest stage, it certainly makes me think better of him and he's a guy I never payed much attention too before.

What's funny about Battier is that Durant tried to recruit him to play with OKC before he signed with Miami.

what's funny is that...NONE of his shots look like they are going in

odd shooting form and style

always respected SB, when he was at duke and the fans were planning yet another borderline racist/elitist chant against a St. John's player....it embarrassed Shane and he discouraged them from doing it.

hard to root for Blue Devil, but Shane is a good dude...hard working defender...and he's knocking down wide open looks

i dont call it blind luck. i call it a streaky. he is a reputable 3pt shooter. it was only the law of averages that he would start to make some 3pts in a row.

After LeBron, Shane Battier is the biggest reason why Miami is up 3-1. He's provided timely offense, scored 17 in the first two games, and has played EXCELLENT defense on both Westbrook and KD.
