He is a top 10 player, but he won't ever be GOAT. you can't win 1/3rd of the time, go to more finals and come up with only half the titles and FMVPs are the current GOAT/gold standard. You have to make a new standard which he hasn't.
That's one way of looking at it but I'd rather just look at pure ability.
You need to be a better basketball player than MJ in his prime to be The GOAT. Too bad the media and fans think collecting hardware without actually improving as a player is somehow bringing LeBron closer to MJ. It's not. It's a subjective debate. Stats, scoring titles, even rings are a result of greatness. How you play is actual greatness. At least in basketball where the sample size of play is large enough.

Perfect spot for Zion is Phoenix.
We getting Zion boy, just watch.

Re: The League needs a Fresh Superstar
A bit off topic, but...
The last several draft classes have been solid.
After this year, get ready to say goodbye to that hello to a regression back to 2000. The league will miss 1-and-done.

The gold standard is to quit the league in your prime? Get well rested up, heal and return almost 2yrs later with 17gms left, try to win a ring the cheapest way possible only to get beat in the 2nd round?
That's setting the bar and the gold standard?

Re: The League needs a Fresh Superstar
To be the face of the NBA , you truly need immense talent, leadership, and a look with youth.
Steph Curry almost looked like he would be the face but the NBA is not going to pour millions into a guy who's peaked and is 31.
Same goes for Durant, Harden, and co.
Anthony Davis doesn't have the personality like a Shaq to be the face of the league.
Giannis has the freakish ability but lacks that personality and charisma.
As much as people hate Lebron, Lebron is charismatic and with dominant ability, actually is funny and extremely polarizing.
There really won't be a face of the NBA for a while because I don't even think 24-25 year old star players today can be that Kobe, Bron, MJ, etc...

I don't flop.

No, it's averaging 18 ppg in the Finals and being a ghost in the 4th quarter

Re: The League needs a Fresh Superstar
LeBron literally is the most boring superstar ever....both on and off the court.
Thats because he was manufactured....
He should never even be spoken in the same sentence as Jordan...anyone around back in the 90s knows the difference between a real and fake superstar.
