Re: Has there ever been a player in history playing as a top 3 player in his 17 season
17th season doesnt matter, age does matter... Kobe turned 18 coming in to the NBA, he is now at 34... Dont give me that "wear n tear" nonsense, he would played & exercised (which is only healthy for you) basketball equally much or maybe even more even if he didnt come in to the NBA at 18...
As far as top 3 player goes, we shall see about that by the end of the season and especially the playoffs...

Re: Has there ever been a player in history playing as a top 3 player in his 17 season
this has been a rough year for Kobe haters. His domination this season has driven lots of them over the edge
they thought he just fade away in his old age like their fave players did, the iversons, carters, macgradys, duncans, WADE, etc, but again and again Kobe proving the doubters wrong
It's funny that Kobe haters refuse to admit his greatness. Every year they prop up some player having a career season as better than Kobe, every year that player changes and Kobe remains the measuring stick. RulerBe

Jordan would be if he played 17 years.
The only reason Kobe has caught up with Jordan in terms of statistical records is because he has played longer than Jordan (because he came out of HS and Jordan retired for 2 years).

- team acomplishments remember.....those don't have any bearing on how great a player is.
- you should understand that.....seeing how you have been spewing that for over the past 4 seasons.

- terruble point....What if Wilt chamberlain started playing right out of Highschool.....what If Chamberlain joined the NBA right out of College...What if Chamberlain played on a different team with a different coach...he would merk all the records even more then what he merks now.
what if....what if...what if....
Kobe did it...deal wit it

i would say 3rd behind kobe and duncan
tmac had the best numbers by a fraction over kobe.. but its easier the shoot when there isnt as much pressure. and the magic didn't get allot of pressure due to their record

kennethgriffin, what off-season/summer do you feel Kobe was the most motivated and put the most work in towards the upcoming season?
I am thinking either the off-season after the 2001-2002 season was over or the off-season after the 2004-2005 season was over.

kobes playing better than all of these guys so far
and only guys who were better last year was durant and lebron
rondo's entire game is based on the ability of others. since he can't hit a shot on his own hes only effective if others are on
kobe on the other hand can do both score and create if others arnt knocking them down

2002-2003
he came in camp with 30 extra pounds of muscle
and that year was the first time you could see his range increase to 5 feet behind the three point arc

Do you know what Kobe's workout routine was like for that off-season? How was he able to put on 30 pounds of muscle that fast?

hes got 500+ million dollars and has nothing to do all day except hit the gym. probably eats only salmon, veggies, nuts and fruit every day, has a personal training staff and is highly motivated
whenever someone has all of these things its pretty easy to put on muscle lol
