They just don't fit together. Offensively they do the same thing...post-ups and elbow isos (leading to either a mid-range jumper or a drive).

yep. there is no chemistry with these guys let alone synergy. melo should be playing with a stretch/high post four. amar'e should be playing with mike d'antoni and steve nash back in phoenix. even though they've been winning, knicks have been a mess on offense. maybe with no amar'e they can get more focus on offense. you get melo and lin as the #1 and #2 guys with a fairly decent supporting cast of scorers.

jared jeffries is sooooooo underrated. i honest to god think he is a flat-out good player. i don't even care if he sucks at lay-ups. this guy is an amazing defender, a great intangibles player, and has incredible basketball IQ. we're a better team with him on the floor.

Oh yeah I felt the same way as you. I figured Amare had 3 elite years left and then he was just going to drop exponentially. We overpaid but its something that had to be done. I figured we had a very small 2 to 3 year window where we could win a title. But if Amare is not the same player when he returns from this the Knicks will be a first round and out team for the next few years

Yeah I kinda have to agree. Even though I thought it was going to turn into a bad deal, Amare was coming off a very good year, and Knicks were in need of someone who can score a lot. He was signed at age 28. Its hard to say it was a bad signing, bc this was the going rate for guys of his caliber.

Be honest, you honestly thought the Mavs had that cohesiveness and potential to win a title last year during season play? NO ONE saw the Mavs winning a title last year, even Mavs fans.

I'm not saying the Knicks will even win a game in the playoffs let alone win a title, but lets not count this team out of anything.

Yeah, I admit I never saw it coming last year. But I can say with positivity that the Mavs were better than the Knicks this year during the reg season. Knicks have been so up and down, truly lack clear identity. Also, Mavs had a better coach and the players were committed.
