Re: The South Korean ferry turned over and sunk.
The assistant principal who scheduled this trip, and who was also on the ferry just killed himself and left a not blaming himself for what happened cause it was his idea.

this is ****ed. how come there is no protocol for something like this. they are just sitting around waiting for nothing.
blue printing the ship and torch cutting holes where it wouldnt cause the boat to take in more water would be something they could do. but no, they are worried about oil spill and debris

i'm just surprised how helpless we are in this situation. You'd think they could get like 3 tugboats and just pull it near shore. maybe a helicopter and some inflatable underwater balloons all over the ship to keep it up longer. its like all they're able to do is send divers in who can't even get into it while watching it slowly sink.
There should be some kind of protocol for this kind of thing, but I agree it sucks at how helpless people really are in situations like this, what are the chances...

If it were a Torpedo I'm sure the Ship would have gone under in a few hours. This is probably human negligence like the Spanish train crash last year.

they said ferry went off course due to heavy fog, i believe. then made a sharp turn, pushing a lot of the cargo to one side of the ferry. that's what i heard anyways..
also, those texts being posted were fake.

Re: The South Korean ferry turned over and sunk.
fkd up .. the captain or someone else in charge told everyone not to move because it would be 'dangerous' .. they said that mostly everyone obeyed their words because that's the culture they're brought up in .. to listen to their elders .. sealed their fate .. some decided not to listen .. and they got out alive

He pretended to be a passenger so he could get out first:

I heard at the times of the incident the Captain was not actually steering the ship it was one of his underlings that was supposedly very inexperienced. It's still the Captain's responsibility. Don't be surprised if he commits suicide. Koreans are not bashful about suicide.
