With 200 plus people in it. initially it was leaning 45 degrees into the water. now it is completely turned over and almost sunk.

Yeah this is killing me reading some of the updates. people stuck inside still alive sending texts "we're still alive". rescuers can't reach them, it took them days just to get into the main cabin or something and even then they had to get out because the waters got too rough. now the boat is completely under.

i'm just surprised how helpless we are in this situation. You'd think they could get like 3 tugboats and just pull it near shore. maybe a helicopter and some inflatable underwater balloons all over the ship to keep it up longer. its like all they're able to do is send divers in who can't even get into it while watching it slowly sink.

Its a sad story but, 200 people? 200 people drown in the Indian ocean every two weeks trying desperately to escape their war ravaged African country on a tiny boat. I feel for these people a lot and its terrible but I don't like how news is only filtered out selectively.
