Jordan Crawford: "I feel that I can be better than Michael Jordan"
“I don’t tell nobody, but I feel like I can be better than Michael Jordan,” Crawford said, without the slightest hint of sarcasm. “When I’m done playing, I don’t want people to say, Michael Jordan is the best player. I want that to be me. That’s how I am. That’s how I was built.”
Um, what? You realize people will look at you sideways and think you’re crazy for saying that, right?
“Yeah, I know that, I definitely know that. But I’m not settling for anything less,” Crawford said. “I feel like I’m better than him, anyway. My mom is going to say I’m better than him.”

A professional athlete has to have ultra confidence. Doesn't matter if it's delusional or not.

Its a fine line between confidence and cockiness. I 100% agree that players need to have full confidence in their ability to reach their full potential. But there have been players in the past who have had way to much cockiness for their own good and it was a detriment to their game. Players who were to cocky would not look to improve their game because they felt they were already good enough. You have to have that confidence, but also be grounded enough to know you can always improve and always work on your game. A guy like Kobe Bryant probably falls under the cocky title and has total confidence in his game, but he is who he is today because of the willingness to learn.

I dig it. Wish more players had that attitude like the good old days. Would be good for the league for sure.

You hear that?

There is a difference between: "I feel that I CAN be better than Michael Jordan" and "I feel that I AM better than Michael Jordan"

This part is fine.

This part is not.

Sasha Vujacic said he can score 30 points in game anytime he wants.
Talk is cheap.

Great college starter
Re: Jordan Crawford: "I feel that I am better than Michael Jordan"
Michael Jordan came to the league and never said he was better than any of the past greats. He proved his greatness in the court, not outside of it. This cocky dude is disrespecting the greatest player to play the game, he should know his place. Confidence is a good thing, but this guy is delusional.
