Jimmy Butler is one of my favorite players in the league, I'm happy to see him putting it together, it sucks his teammates Rose and Noah make me hate the bulls.

I'm a Bulls fan, and even I admit Butler is a role player. And his "role" this year is to play like an all-star on both ends of the floor.

He's a role player that has raised his level into playing like a star due to the star on his team being MIA. Very likeable guy.

Is Butler really that different from Paul George? Almost identical numbers

I'm sure his song will change the moment contract talks begin in the offseason.

whatever label you want to give him is fine by him.

But to quote Goodfellas, "F you, pay me"

And there will be a few teams who will love to do just that in the offseason

hes a great role player. when it is necessary for him to score he does. he doesnt have the same style as someone like harden who commands the offense rather than plays within it like butler does. thats not to say role players can be better and more beneficial than offensive commander type. Lebron plays mostly like a role player type, and people consider him the best in the world. kobe plays offensive commander type, but hes inefficient and sometimes a liability to the teams success.
