That's what made it so funny for me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all into Batman and Superman and shit, but the trailer and the reaction, "OOOH SHIT!?" when they're just looking at each other in the rain like lost lovers is hilarious.

superman + batman is the two most iconic superheroes of all time. If they can pull this off, nothing in marvel will rival them.

What will happen: Batman finds some ridiculous loophole to escape from his encounter with Superman, thus elongating the plot to stupid proportions. Then last, but not least a sequel hook is shown....

The issue with a big fight scene with thanos is that he's too powerful to really portray in a live action film and is more of a behind the scenes power player most of the time(ala darkseid) the reason marvel has been more successful outside of the dark knight series is that their characters are generally more human/rely more on intelligence than overwhelming power(especially since they nerfed the shit out of Thor for the movies) a big bad that you fear but don't see a lot of makes sense for that, a big bad who's as bad as thanos that they actually have to be able to keep up with physically? Not so much. Also the only two of the avengers who can stay anywhere near him in a fight are hulk and Thor.

yo superman, im really happy you got your own movie, imma let you share this movie with batman, but The Dark Knight is the greatest superhero movie of all time.
