Default Most Disappointing Newly Appointed Coaches This Year?

With a flurry of coaching changeovers within the past year, we've seen a dramatic change to the landscape to NBA Coaching Association. The playoffs may be a more revealing picture; but with the playoffs picture and eliminations thereof all but decided at the tail end of this regular season, it may not be too early for some of the harsher assessments to be made.

What coach do you believe is the most disappointing as it relates to their expectations and the shoes their predecessor left to fill in?

My pick would have to be Fred Hoiberg.

He may blossom into a decent coach—in fact, they better hope so considering all the prospectively top-end coaches they've repelled by classlessly firing Thibodeau—but the contrast effect must judge him harshly when considering who he's succeeded in Tom Thibodeau—easily one of the best coaches in the league for all of his head-coaching years.

I've touted all along that the player subculture of the Bulls needed to change rather than any systemic changes; yet, the Bulls front office felt change was needed in that regard by hiring a supposed offensive specialist in Fred Hoiberg to replace him. Tell them to cross-compare the offensive-ratings between this year and Thibodeau's last year, and hope they brood hard over their decision.
