The Jazz have a team option on Georges Niang, but general manager Dennis Lindsey has already made it clear that the organization will likely chase a strong wing or point guard option despite reaching the playoffs for the third straight season with a 50-32 record.

For the Jazz, free agency is expected to be a much busier time this year than it was in 2018 when Lindsey brought the whole team back from the 2017-2018 campaign save backup Jonas Jerebko. Lindsey knows the team needs to get better. Utah has momentum in trying to attract a top-tier player and a number of the players currently on the roster will be free agents, which should make for an interesting first few days of July regardless of what ends up happening.
