The Golden State Warriors waived former Indiana Pacers guard Sarunas Jasikevicius on Thursday, agreeing to a contract buyout with the disgruntled player.
Jasikevicius joined the Warriors along with Stephen Jackson and Al Harrington in an eight-player trade with Indiana last January, but the Lithuanian point guard never cracked coach Don Nelson's rotation.

i saw this coming. he was bound to head back to europe because he didn't do squat here. bird had this dude hyped so much when the pacers 1st got him and he crapped out. "best pg in europe, blah,blah,blah" yeah, whatever. i think he's happy to get back to where he belongs.

dude was lights out over in europe...he KILLED the US olympic team in 2004 by himself!
he is going back to europe...same with spanolious who was also very much hyped.
I'd be pretty damn surprised if that wasn't the intention in putting SJ in the title.
Anyways, I'm a fan of Sarunas. I haven't seen a ton of him, but he seems like a solid player who doesn't really do anything exceptionally but isn't exactly poor in any areas either. There are probably quite a few teams who I don't think would mind having a guy like him as the 7-8th man.
Can't say I agree with L23's MLE idea, but I can still see him being signed for half of it. Not a long contract, but at least something.
