American vs European players - summed up

American players can all move their feet on defense.

American players are all comfortable with the ball (good handles).

European players can all move without the ball.

European players can all think a move ahead (bball IQ).

That's pretty much the difference.

The reason the US wins is because they have no lackluster slow foot defenders and that they all have people able to handle the ball.

I probably generally prefer NBA rules and the older NBA style to FIBA ball.

In FIBA ball, players work within a very strict system and rule set. Doesn't allow to show off too much.

NBA have way too lax rules, but on the other hand allow players to show their skills more.

That's what I liked with the 90s. You had both.
