What reason would a person chose Kobe Bryant over KEVIN DURANT?

If you were a coach and you had the choice of Prime Durant or Prime Bryant, what reason would you chose Bryant?

Personally I think Durant is a better player. He can guard every position, he's a better shot locker. On offense he's almost 7 feet tall but handles the ball like a guard and he shoots better then Bryant.

KD is more efficient when it comes to scoring, but Kobe had a better all-around game. Kobe made “All-Defensive first team” a lot of times in his career. KD has 0. Kobe was a better playmaker and leader. The only thing KD has over him is efficiency.

Saying Kobe was a better leader is subjective. You wouldn't know. Durant should have been on a few all defensive teams. I agree Bryant is the better playmaker, but Durant being more efficient cancels that out.

Sheer Skill...Durant is a top 3 all time player.

If both were 19-20 years old etc.. and draft eligible, I would prefer KD.. Top 3 SF (Bird Lebron) over 2nd best 2 guard...

Because Kobe can win with just one other HOF teammate on the roster and doesn't have to jump on a 73-9 win team that already won the championship without him.

In fact, Kobe pulled an ANTI-Durant and made it his personal challenge to win without Shaq.

because hes a better winner. Some guys dont know how to win. Kd had to join a 73 win team to be able to win. Theres more to competition than stats and physical ability. Intelligence and heart also play a huge role. This is why kobe was better.

KD’s height combined with his perimeter skills are what makes him a special player. If he was a few inches shorter, he would just be like, Camelo. Skilled enough, but not nearly as efficient.

I’ll give KD that, he’s P4P one of the most fundamentally skilled players to ever played this game. If we’re talking about pure fundamentals, KD is greater than LeBron, etc. However, basketball should be judged by every facets and intangibles. Outside of pure scoring and overall shooting, there’s really not that much that stand out about KD’s overall game. He’s average or above average in just about every non-scoring categories.
