Default Should the NBA get rid of the Defensive 3 Seconds rule

It would change the Meta for the NBA

Someone like a Hasheem Thabet would be worth his weight in gold with those rules. Embiid would be even more dominant. He'd go from a top 10 player to roughly around 2 or 3.He'd be Gobert on defense but 1000x the offense..

Pick and Roll would also take a huge hit.My vote would be yes try it for a year

Wouldn't that just make the league even more three happy than it already is? It's not doing anything to buff up the post game.

What four idiots voted yes? That would be a fukking disaster. Seventy percent of shots would basically be 3pters.

Defensive 3 seconds counters zone defense. There’s a reason it was introduced along with some defense being allowed, to limit the zone to prevent the game from being unwatchable

Jordan famously complained about this very result impacting his career

That said, shooting is so prevalent now and the thinking on it isn’t anywhere near what it was back then. Someone like Curry or a team like the Warriors would destroy the zone, restricted or not.

Regardless it would make for even more boring basketball than we already have
