wall v irving/westbrook is just a toss-up for what ur team needs more, scoring/shooting or passing/distributing

irving v westbrook will be an open and shut case in a few years tho, kyrie gonna walk all over russ once he puts more muscle on and hones his defensive instincts... hell these are the two luckiest pg's in the league playing next to lebron and durant.

    which combo is preferable?

    paul/durant
    wall/james
    irving/davis
    curry/griffin
    westbrook/cousins

i'll take kyrie and davis, tho curry and griff is tempting
if we're just talking next year, paul/durant win

    russ/cuz would be a disaster

What does being able to get to the basket matter when he's not big enough to finish over anyone? It would be one thing if Kyrie was a good passer, but he isn't. Amazing how ungrateful Cavs fans are for the only reason their team is even relevant.

He's one of the best finishers in the league.

Here's what happened one of the few times he was actually allowed to take the critical shot last season and he decided to go to the basket...

Kyrie was second in the NBA last season in scoring efficiency in isolation, behind only James Harden... and, when you take away the free throws Harden generates -- which are unlikely to be called at the end of games -- Irving was at the top.

LeBron is an all-time great player, but Kyrie should be handling the last shot much more this coming season than he did last year.

Come on man, I think we have to consider the opponent in that situation. Not gonna disagree about Kyrie taking the last shot more often, but most decent teams aren't going to allow him to get a good look at the rim in the final seconds of a game.

The opponent was the guy who is now the Cavs' perimeter defensive stopper... the guy who was all over whoever he guarded in the playoffs.

And Kyrie went around him like he was standing still. That layup would also be impossible for most other players in the league.

kyrie is already a better finisher at the rim than tony parker ever was... tho maybe not as crafty with space and footwork. pondering how he's going to rise over bigger players in the paint is like asking how shaq is going to shirk earl boykins in the post.
