I believe '93 MJ is the most complete version of him as an offensive player. 41 ppg in the Finals on 50.8%FG with 40% from 3 at 4.2 attempts per game. Four straight 40+ pt games with a 55-pt game where he scored almost half of his team's 111 points in a win.

And anytime he tried - he attempted less than 1.5 attempts every year except 90/93' with 3+ attempts at 37.6% and 35.2%

Generally speaking foul shooting correlates pretty well to 3 point shooting. When evaluating college players foul shooting correlates better than 3 point shooting when judging who can shoot NBA 3s.

Brook Lopez didn't take 3s for his first 8 years. He is a career 79% foul shooter and has become a respectable 3 point shooter.

Marc Gasol also didn't take 3s for his first 8 years. He is a career 78% foul shooter and has also become a respectable 3 point shooter.

MJ was a career 83.5% foul shooter so I am pretty confident he could become a decent 3 point shooter, especially given the fact that teams would be reluctant to play him tightly that far from the basket.
