MJ inspired a generation of foreign players to strive for greatness and this caused the international teams to reach levels of greatness not yet seen. Recently, the influence has dissipated (these kids didn't grow up with MJ) and now we are starting to see the international teams fall back to earth. This is the greatness of Michael Jeffrey Jordan, the only man who greatness could inspire a team to beat America in hoops.
