I can't stand when fans or players blame the result of a whole game on one play.

Why were the Heat even up 1 point? The Pistons were in control all game, and then choked down the stretch... then they want to blame blowing a game-long, double-digit lead on the last play?

it was more than one play, and that one play where stuckey was fouled could have leveled the game... its just the fact that the refs are so inconsistent, you could argue all day whether that was a foul or not - but the fact is it would have been a foul if dwyane wade had the ball.

All I've got to say is that there is only ONE superstar in the league this year who has been given two marginal foul calls in the last seconds of game, one of which gave his team a win and the other which could have. And that superstar's name WAS NOT Dwyane Wade.

In fact, Wade played this other superstar's team and with over a minute left--in other words, not in the last few seconds-- was bumped with the same degree of contact, but was not awarded the foul. Instead of being given foul shots, he was given an ejection from the game after he complained about it.

the NBA is showbusiness at least they do a decent job with the balancing act

    Superstars get calls...... PERIOD.

    Always have always will.

Now.... that "foul" was very close and if Wade fell, it could've been an offensive foul.

    A. Wade had position on Stuckey
    B. Wade's body was positioned well
    C. One can even argue that Stuckey ran into him, since Wade beat him to the spot.
    D. Was there contact down low during the shot? slightly, mostly created by Stuckey, Wade stood his ground.
    E. The block up top was clean.

Now... people wanna complain about the call he got.

    A. Wade WAS bumped
    B. Wether or not the bump was hard or not is debatable, but Wade "sold" it. If Stuckey felt he was bumped he should've sold it, but he wasn't.
    C. When Arfalo was called for the handchecking..... that was an obvious call that was easy for anybody to see, not a quick borderline call that's too close to call. They were isolated in the perimeter in front for all to see and Arfalo clearly had his hand on him stopping Wade from driving. A clear violation of the rules, ANYBODY would've got that call.

As far as Wade stepping outside..... really? some of you have got to be joking.

Was there even a ref in the area to make that call? NFL refs need instant replay and often debate that for a minute, how is an NBA ref gonna make that call on the spot?

All in all, the foul at the end is very debatable, it was very borderline that could've actually gone either way, that hardly gets called in the last seconds specially on a star. So cut the whining.

Wade has been on the other end of the no call at the end of the game a few times this season as well. And there was actually a few times that Wade didn't get the call even tho he was obviously fouled.

Not only did Wade foul him, he also ended up out of bounds. But nope. The officials let that go too.
This is what the Hawks got to look forward to in about 3 weeks.

    Try convincing them of that.

I never thought he was out of bounds, I was very impressed with his Chris Carter like sideline balance.

That entire play itself was impressive.

He played great position defense, clearly/cleanly blocked the shot up top (the bottom is close, but he was standing his ground the offensive player jumped into him), got the ball, tip toed the sideline and had the presence to pass the ball to an open teammate.

Thank god for the refs today.

If they weren't favoring us as always we wouldn't have beat the Grizzlies. Phew!

Honestly, I find it hillarious that the first thread going into deep discussion about a superstar getting calls is that of Wade especially when he has probably been the least beneficial of all the stars including Kobe, Bron, Paul and Howard.

We get soo much help from the refs that we are a beasty 38-32... *sigh*

I've always said it. Wade is the easiest to blame because you can always say, he got superstar calls.

The funny thing is all the Kobe and Lebron fanboys have come in here and agreed when the in the other thread pretty much every non bias supporter said that neither were fouls.

But what can I say, Wade is the best player in the world, and Lebron fanboys are jealous doing whatever they can to make him look bad.
