What do you call the way a snail move?
With all the voting going around, me as a non-voter start asking myself weird questions. A tiger run or walk, fish swim, snake crawl, bird fly, what do you call the way a snail move?
I usually just call it moving. For example, "oh the snail has moved from the porch to the pool in one night" or "the snail is moving pretty quickly today"

Slithering is stricly associated with caecilians (big ass millipede lookalike amphibianz which will give u nightmarez), salamandaz, newtz, and of course S.N.A.k>i>E.Z.

Oozing? Not great, but "the snail oozes towards the bucket" sounds okay.

they crawl. not slither.
Most snails move by gliding along on their muscular foot, which is lubricated with mucus. This motion is powered by succeeding waves of muscular contraction which move down the undersurface of the foot. This muscular action is clearly visible when a snail is crawling on the glass of a window or aquarium.
