Default if dwight opt out next year, his new contract would be around $170mil, worth it?

so as i read, the salary cap on 2016-27 is around 89m (esti.). If Dwight opts out next year, he can resign with rockets for a 5yrs contract, starting at 29mil/31/33/36/39mil.. probably below KD and Lebron, but more than AD...

so rockets fan.. is it worth to sign him at that price while he's 30 with all his injury history..?
are u guys going to keep a 3x yrs old C with injure history with 3Xmil dollars contract?

    good luck.

Who says that he's demanding the max? Who says he's even asking for the max? Who says he's even worth the max?

Who's even reporting that he's considering leaving James Harden and the Houston Rockets?

He's a multi-millionaire with money that'll continue to come into his bank account from endorsement deals while he's retired. He's not going broke if he manages his money well (which he's proven to do since he's not a frivolous spender).

His baby momma's all get a percentage of Dwight's money, which still leaves him a very rich man. He's not clamoring for an extra couple million dollars in free agency to pay any bills.

Dwight has never drawn attention to his children by himself, that's all media propaganda for a quick story. He's not worried about them being financially secured and neither are most of the mothers of his children.

Dwight Howard just got off a postseason averaging 16/14/1/2/1. He was easily the best center in the 2015 Playoffs.

There's really no point in me going in depth on why he's still great in today's league because it's been said a million times. If you still think Dwight wants to be the number one option on a team then you're stuck in the year 2013. He's a great teammate and a great paint presence.

Of course he's worth it. Dwight's one of the few players who turns any team into an instant contender.

If Dwight comes back next season and proves he's healthy then he'll be worth a max contract, but even at that he'll take a paycut to stay with James Harden, Hakeem Olajuwon, and the Houston Rockets. He's worth more here and can accomplish more here than anywhere else.
