By Jordan's best, I mean any of his seasons circa 87-93. And if so which? I remember doing various game-edits on here for those asking about Wade highlights, and during my editing, I don't think I've ever seen a player with more explosion to the basket than Wade that year. Dude looked like he was shot out of a canon. Just unstoppable to contain if he found a seam near the rim.
- awesome midrange
- awesome all-around play
- insane athleticism
- efficient
- dominant
Sorry about creating all these threads of late... Just happy to be back posting with y'all again
but like you said (and plow, etc.), the majority of this place by now is shitty

You had Lebron, Wade and CP3 having insane regular seasons. All 3 had +30 PER's which has never happened before.
You had Kobe having one of his best seasons leading a 65 win team and capping his great playoff run off with a championship/FMVP. Dwight winning DPOY and leading his team to the finals. Lebron leading that Cavs team to 66 wins and winning the MVP. Damn.
And PEAK DIRK who was likely the 2nd best playoff performer of all these guys!!

You really feel like that was Dirk's peak? Even over '06 or '11?

Was definitely one of the best seasons I have witnessed in 30 years, pretty much on par individually with anyone.

Some of his best games from that season:
55pts vs Knicks
40 Pts, 11 Ast, 5 Blk vs Raptors
Wade 48pts vs Bulls game-winner
39pts vs Pistons
Credit to GD highlights for putting these up recently.

If you look at the per 100 possession stats, it's clear that MJ had at least 8 seasons that are as good or better than Wade's 2009.
Wade's very best season was MJ's standard.

I don't know if I'd go quite that far. MJ didn't have 8 seasons of winning a scoring title, finishing top 10 in assists, and finishing top 3 in DPOY. Don't get me wrong, MJ did have multiple superior seasons, but 2009 Wade was right up there with a couple of MJ's MVP seasons.

Notable season statistics
18 games total with 10 or more assists.... impressive given his supporting cast.
5 games with 4 or 5 blocks, 4 of which were wins. 31 games with 2+ blocks.
32 games with 3+ steals
39 games with 30+ points
10 games where he shot 24+ points on > 60% shooting
43 games where he shot over 50% FG%
There was nobody in the NBA better from February 2009...
Had a month stretch where he posted 37/6/10/3/1 shooting 55%

Your criteria is YOUR criteria - who cares where someone places in the voting.
I can post the per 100 possession stats - MJ had 8+ season equal or better than Wade's 2009.
