He'd adjust, and develop a superior midrange game than he has now

Just like if Jordan played today he'd develop a superior 3 point shot than he had in his career

These players are hall of famers with crazy work ethics. They'd do what it takes to be most effective

I was suprised when I saw these numbers.

These are lebron's playoff FG% by distance (measured by feet from the basket)

    0-2 72%
    3-9 38%
    10-15 34%
    16<3 36%
    3P 32%

Lebron's FG% is LESS than 40% outside of 2 feet from the basket. A basketball court is 94 by 50 feet.
    Are these career numbers?

Didn't know that either, although I never needed OP's info to know that its easier to stop LeBron in an isolated, mano y mano possession. Or at least compared to the likes of Jordan, Bird, Kobe, and hell, probably even Wade at his best.

Guess that comes from...wait for it...actually watching basketball games. A foreign concept around these parts, I know.

Does the same logic hold true when LeBron shoots better than Kobe from 3 point range? Or does context matter only there because of the quality of shots taken?

Just wanna know the rules to this game.

The truth is in Miami he very obviously protected it. Him and Wade even admitted to having FG efficiency side bets. It was ridiculously padded those seasons.

Part of the reason he has been so likable the past two seasons is he no longer has that luxury. He just goes out and has to ball out. Like in both last year and this year's Finals.

I aint gonna lie, Lebron is one of the best players I've seen with my two eyes.

But i had no clue his shooting numbers were like this either. I knew he really couldn't shoot, even though he'd make some jumpers, uncharacteristically.

I mean....holy shit. Dude is practically a post player masquerading as a perimeter guy. Which is incredible..but has led to some serious issues (2011, 2015, 2014).

Without fastbreak points/easy layups, his game is practically neutralized from a scoring perspective.

Luckily, he still has the size and athleticism to carry him.

Carmelo shoots below 40% outside of 2 feet in the playoffs too, I'm not sure what your point is.

lol...probably even Wade? It's harder to stop a prime Wade one on one than it is a prime Kobe. You can force Kobe to take the jump shot (he wants to settle for it anyway), but you're not going to stay in front of Wade...Kobe himself knows that from first-hand experience.

Healthy prime Wade, I could agree. Proof is in the pudding in their production against those Rasheed / Big Ben / Tayshaun mid 2000's Detroit defenses. The 2004 team isn't all that different from 2005 or 2006.

I only said "probably" because of Wade's 3PT shot, or lack thereof, and inconsistent midrange.

At the peak of his powers, and when his jumper is falling down, Wade is the greatest 2-guard of all time not named MJ.
