Silver referring to Cavs in the east and the addition of Durant to GSW in the West

Look how disastrous those super teams like the '80's Celtics & Lakers and '90's Bulls were for league interest and ratings

How can a team who won 57 reg. season games last year and w/o any All-NBA players (besides LeBron) be considered a superteam??

Same for the 2011 Heat. They won 58 reg. season games, yet were called a superteam.

If those 2 win totals = superteams, then there's been a shitload in the league over the years.

If the Cavs are not a super team then why are they the highest paid team in the league?

Nets and Knicks had the top 2 highest payrolls for the 2013-14 season.

    They were called superteams?

The Nets, sure. With their KG and Pierce move.

    But the Knicks?! Really?
    Talk about underachieving.
Isn't that the year where they didn't make the playoffs?

Why are they never mentioned then?

KG was 37yrs old and avg 20mpg and PP was 36. Throw in Joe Johnson and Deron Williams and Brook Lopez and that = a superteam?

I guess the owners of these non "super teams" must just be magically throwing away their money then if another team that is considered to be a super team has a lesser payroll.....
