IGN ranks the Top 10 Call of Duty Games

I haven't played most of them.

1) COD 4


2) COD W@W

3) MW2
4) One of the Black Ops. Honestly don't remember which one.

Modern Warfare was the first one I played and it blew my mind. Never really liked FPS before that, other than Goldeneye for the 64. Haven't liked one since 4. Must have been the novelty factor.

Tried Battlefield, Half Life, Halo, Borderlands, Planetside, Gears of War, and various mmo shooters since.

The only ones I even kind of enjoyed was Planetside and S4 League. I am so bad at Planetside and never seemed to get better. Ended up quitting, but I did enjoy how vast the maps are, the 3 teams in one game, and how many players are allowed in each room.

Tried S4 during the beta a few years ago and it was fun for like 2 weeks. Got old quick.

Also Virtua Cop in the arcades when I was kid. Think it was more holding the actual gun than anything else.

Might try Team Fortress 2 one day. Seems more my pace and it apparently has quite a following for an old-ish game.

That's like ranking which colored Oreo's are the best. No matter the creme filling, they taste the same..

Except when they are going for a completely different flavor, like the mint flavored ones or the chocolate fillings ones... Oh, man. I'm getting hungry.

The rest were shit. I still play BO2 online. Its a great game.

I don't play online at all, but as far as campaigns go:

1) Modern Warfare 2
2) Black Ops
3) COD 4
4) Modern Warfare 3
5) World at War
6) Black Ops 2
7) Ghosts

Never played COD 2, should I buy it for the campaign?
Ghosts had an amazing concept but the execution was poor. The final 4-5 chapters were so lame; however, maybe my favorite mission in all of CODs is in Ghosts.

That bad? That's kind of a shame. For as much crap as COD gets, I still really enjoy its fast paced style of gameplay. Its kinda why I got into Gotham city imposters, basically a sillier COD which was enough for me.

never played any of the others. barely played mw.

I was only able to play the MW series, BO, and BO2. Only played zombies for BO.

4 was more realistic and the air kill streaks weren't totally ridiculous as they were in MW2. MW3 is an afterthought to me. Multiplayer, I'd put them as 4, BO2, MW2, MW3. Zombies was better on BO imo, none of that dumb dodge the fire crap.
