No but to be fair, I prob wouldn't be allowed to waste $800 on a coat if I lived paycheck to paycheck either.

I live in Ottawa where it's freezing and I bus. I have a North Face that's decent until the temp drops to minus double digits. Canada Goose are everyone's go to coat, but I've done research and tried out Nobis and Mackage. Both are less clunky and heavy, more stylish and according to reviews perform just as good if not better than Canada Goose.
I've got a stadium jacket that I think is Adidas, keeps me warm into the -20s/-30s. I don't know how much it cost (got it through the soccer club I used to coach at) but goddamn is it ever effective in Canadian winters.

Not a coat guy, but i do have a nice arc'teryx jacket i spent a lot on. Between here, Portland and Florida there's a lot of rain...
