Eminem is no better than Busta Rhymes. Product of an era of lyricism and hard rhymes.
Busta Rhymes is so much better than Eminem. Eminem just has always had an annoying voice. Yeah he is talented by he just doesn't sound good.

Don't listen to rap much anymore tho tbh.

I wouldn't say Kobe is Talib Kweli. Kobe is pretty insanely famous and popular. Talib isn't at all.

Nobody blew up for real on Rawkus records. A lot of the GOATS were on that label or at least involved. Ever listen to this album?

Even Eminem had to sign with Dr.Dre.

He was there with all those undeground guys killing tracks like:

https://youtu.be/rK2MMK_J4qQ?t=92

But Sway and tech and Soundbombing cyphers dont get you mainstream.

Kwali spent his prime on the NBA equivalent of the Bobcats. Even if you were great there...nobody would care.

MosDef the biggest after Em. Kweli had success. Was El-P on that release? Pharoah Monch had success.

A lot had success. Common is on that cover. Common went platinum.

But nobody got as big as their skills suggest they should have. And yea El-P was on it with company flow. A lot of names...not a lot of sold records.

Really....

Kobe is more Talib Kweli. There are those who have him in the GOAT conversation....and you can understand why....even though he arguably wasnt the best rapper in his own group(Mos Def being Shaq). He has the technical proficiency and wordplay such as:

Getting knowledge in jail like a blessing in disguise
Look in the skies for God, what you see besides the smog
Is broken dreams flying away on the wings of the obscene
The thoughts that people put in the air
In places where you could get murdered over a glare
But everything is fair
It's a paradox we call reality
Where keeping it real will make you casualty of abnormal normality
We Killers Born Naturally like, Micky and Mallory
Not knowing the ways'll get you capped like an NBA salary

And the respect of the giants of his industry like Jay Z who said:

Music business hate me ‘cause the industry ain't make me
Hustlers and boosters embrace me and the music I be making
I dumbed down for my audience to double my dollars
They criticized me for it, yet they all yell "holla"
If skills sold, truth be told, I'd probably be lyrically Talib Kweli
Truthfully I wanna rhyme like Common Sense
But I did 5 mill' – I ain't been rhyming like Common since

And it is in this same verse....you see why Lebron is Jay Z not mumble rappers.

The way Jay put it...he had to cheat(which you no doubt say Lebron did) by putting out worse but more easily accessible music for the fans to get paid. He dumbed down for his audience to double his dollars. Lebron formed a super team. And as he mentioned....they criticized him for it but they all yell "Holla" as in...they hated initially but they all fell in line.

Then adding what you said?

Jay Z is arguably a better businessman than rapper, has been openly racist, has made songs about cheating on his wife, and openly dumbed down his rap to get popular and was accused of stealing rhymes...the biggest broken rule in hip hop. It got so out of hand he had to mention it on a song saying

"Im not a biter im a writer for myself and other I say a Big verse im only bigging up my brother"

And on top of it?

Everyone Jay Z signs...even the potential stars...mysteriously have worse careers than it looked like they should.

Beanie Sigel....Memphis Bleek...Camron...Amil...Big L got killed when he was gonna sign. Anyone seen Chris and Neef lately?

The one young guy who became a massive success? Kanye. Who had to leave him just like Kyrie left Lebron.

And some would argue...Kanye was the real MVP of Jay Zs greatest moment...the Blueprint. Kanye produced 5 classics for that album and started what Jay called the trend of "Got your producers looping up soul. Its like you trying to make the Blueprint 2 before Hov!" much like haters claim Kyrie was the 2016 MVP.

Kanye is now a much bigger name than Jay Z and is actually even richer hovering somewhere near a billion dollars.

Any way you look at it....

Jay Z is Lebron.

Bird is Eminem.

Kobe is one of those guys who is more respected by his peers than hes likely to be in history. As Jay said...if skills sold truth be told....thats who he would be.

But skills dont sell. So he signed with the Heat to rule the world.

You criticize him for it...but the fans yell "Holla!" so he doesnt care.

Jayz also signed Rihanna, JCole, Jelectronica, Ocean.

Jay-Z should have stayed retired but he is still doing good business and he's a curiosity. People like to check out what he is talking about....but lyrically he is boring now. Who cares about a rich CEO rhymer?

He's the new Sinatra, but married.

Talib Kweli being on the equivalent of the Bobcats is kind of my point as to why he's not Kobe.

Also no one besides Bosh and Love really had their stats go (not counting players who got injured) down a lot with LeBron (I guess Larry Hughes, but he had one outlier season and was pretty mehhhhhh or worse his whole career otherwise). Love and Bosh went from 1st to 3rd options. That's more on team construct than LeBron. Bosh averaged like 24 PPG in 2012 as the 2nd option when Wade was out. You're not going to score as much playing next to ball-dominant scorers (LeBron and Wade, LeBron and Kyrie). Additionally, Love had his minutes cut. The last two seasons he was at 21.8 and 22.7 PTS per 36 minutes.

Pitbull brought reggaeton to America. He basically founded reggaeton. The guy is a genius.
