Default 32 points, 16 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks - BEST IN THE WORLD

Sending a message to the league.

He does it all, deflects shots, runs the point, can dribble, can score on anybody and from little everywhere on the court.

MVP

He's never the reason his team wins. He will always have his ridiculous statline, but it's usually someone else on his team being the reason. Tonight was no different, it was Mirotic.

He got Spoon fed a LOT of easy dunks and layups. Not sure how many lobs he caught this game. Lost count for sure.

The guards do a really good job of getting into the lane and finding him.

Randle also feasted while AD got adequate rest.

When was the last time a player won DPOTY and MVP same season? AD is a front runner for MVP. He could win both. It’s in the cards. I’m not saying this as a Lakers fan but pure basketball objectivity Lebron James is the prohibitive favorite for mvp depending on how good the Lakers perform. The whole “Lebron returning the NBAs historic franchise back to glory” narrative will be too much for the media to resist. AD is the player of the future if he can stay healthy. Anyone else remember his rookie stats? It was like prime Tim Duncan numbers as soon as he came into the league. He’d have like 28 16 4 and 6 blocks on any given night and he wasn’t even of legal drinking age lol. Just stay healthy Anthony Davis please.

I didn't word it right. The stats he puts up are way better than anything Tim Duncan ever achieved, but let's be honest... he has nowhere the impact that Duncan did. Maybe it's just a guard's game nowadays, but I thought he was the 3rd most important player in that series last year when they rekt the Blazers. Holiday and Rondo were the 2 biggest reasons.

I agree with this overall. I wouldn't say the 2 biggest reasons were Rondo/Holiday though, Davis played like a beast. But he needs a super playmaker that elevates teammates otherwise he's never going to win a ring regardless how good his team is.

Also dude dropped 40 minutes in a blow out. He's pretty much reaching for the stat nerds that are fawning over it. MVP run.
