A chimp destroys a human like it's nothing. A leopard kills a chimp as easily as a pittbull kills a 5 year old human. A tiger kills a couple of leopards like they were a couple of housecats.... When you go that high up the food chain (not literally) the gap is like comparing an MMA fighter to a 10 year old.

Unless you've seen these animals up close in real life, it's very easy to underestimate how ridiculously huge something like a bengal or siberian tiger is.

People underestimate how scary an average house cat that goes crazy is. Not trolling. When they go haywire, it's not something you want to deal with. Although you'll eventually kill it, if you really had to.

Now imagine that same cat being 50x bigger, and way more ferocious, and knows it can kill you in an instant.

Dude Gorrilas in their environment are the peak playas. You are comparing like an NBA superstar to ABA superstar, but head to head Gorrila has the raw power to overpower the Tiger, their skin is tight, their post game is legit and their upper body strength helps them finish through contact. Tigers have more quickness, body control and change of direction, then can slice and dice even the best land defending animals, but a Gorilla is like prime Shaq out there. Tiger can charge at Gorrila and get knocked to the ground hardcore 80s style, but if the Tiger fights the Gorilla in this pussified 21st century environment like say a zoo with limited space he can damage the Gorilla enough to win the matchup. But in a tougher 80s-90s environment like a jungle with trees and obstacles the Gorilla can come around strong trees and ambush the Tiger like Lebron using a screen to humiliate the weaker defender with sheer power and tetosterone.

At the end of the day, you're comparing a slow animal with hands to a super athlete with claws and fangs. Gorillas in the wild are preyed upon by 150lbs leopards. If a gorilla can't defend itself from a leopard, what the hell do you think it's gonna do against a 600lbs tiger? I mean, tigers kill animals much bigger and worlds stronger than a freaking gorilla.

There have been stories of Gorillas bending steel rods like they were nothing. Also iron handles. There was another story of a male Gorilla ripping a 200 lb. tire apart like it was nothing.

Gorillas are also deceptively quick, fast, and have hands, which would be an advantage against a tiger. You're not understanding the difference in their strengths. P4P, a tiger might be stronger, total body wise, but a gorilla can utilize it's strengths in ways a tiger never could. A gorilla could crack a tiger's back in half with a smashing motion. When the tiger got up to it's face, it could tear apart the tiger's jaw like it was nothing. They can squeeze limbs, and break bones. Things a tiger couldn't do.

Of course a tiger can swipe, and scratch and bite, but a gorilla can bite too, and I think in a close quarters battle, the gorilla would win. It would come out injured, but it would have broken the tiger's ligaments, and probably squeezed it's neck like you or I squeezing a grape.

I think the tiger pounces, and slashes, and the gorilla gets a hold of it, and squeezes the shit outta whatever it can get a hold of, while also biting it. Then it breaks ligaments, and rips the tiger's mouth open like a piece of paper.
