Default Kyrie was injured during games 6 & 7 of the 2016 finals

Just as we suspected all along! Resident Cavs fan and moderator RedBlackAttack posted the following on another thread:

One thing you left out was that Kyrie attacked relentlessly in the first half and was 7-of-7 from the free throw line. He had 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting in the first half and was dominating the same way he had the game before. However, early in the third quarter, Irving hurt his foot and it seemed to limit him offensively.

Kyrie still finished with 23 points on 18 shots, which is pretty damn good efficiency.

LeBron played great in the second half of that game and definitely took matters into his own hands. Kudos to him. Kyrie definitely did his part as well. I was just happy the foot injury didn't seem to bother him much in Game 7.
It is imperative that we recognize thay the Cavs won against a 73 win team with the 2nd best player on the team hobbled. Remarkable

Absolutely. That's what I've been saying. The Cavs were hardly 100% healthy when they pulled off the comeback.

Kyrie being injured is old news. The one this we can agree on is that to score 40+ points on 75% shooting while injured and having to defer to the first option is the greatest feat by a single player in an NBA finals game. He's only 24 boys.

Ehh, game 7 he looked completely fine. Quickness was all there and he was jumping fine. But him dinging his foot probably did prevent him from another 30+ game in a game 6 where he was still very good. he got to the freethrow line a lot, played good defense and scored the points that gave the cavs a lead they never relinquished. Can't wait for the season to start.

I actually made note of that. The only time he seemed effected by the foot was the second half of Game 6. Injuries are a part of the game. When you start getting that deep in the playoffs, guys are going to get hurt. You just have to hope it isn't lasting and it doesn't derail what you're trying to accomplish. Thankfully, it did neither.
